Prayers for Your Healing Journey
Prayer for Soul Needs:
Lord Jesus, I come to you barren, empty, and dry. There is an ache in my heart, a longing in my soul, and an empty loneliness pervades me. I desire to be cherished, loved, seen, affirmed, and delighted in this very moment. The tank is empty, the battle is beginning, and the assaults will shortly begin. Please, in your mercy, come to my aid. Holy Spirit, sweet consoler, please shelter me in your love. But, if such a request is either not beneficial to my soul at this time or incompatible with your Divine and holy will, I humbly beg for the grace to endure the absence of my relentless desire. May I not turn my face from yours, whose eternal gaze is always upon me whether I feel it or not, as the latter is now the case. Jesus I choose to trust in you with childlike faith. May I not be shaken, dismantled, or despairing unto sin. I may not feel the sweetness of consolation, but may I carry the cross of desolation with great love, patience, and faithfulness however long you deem necessary for my eternal salvation. Amen.

Prayer by Father Benedict Groeschel:
O God, Our Father, you give us each day our daily bread. You give us what we need and often much more than what we need. You tell us in the words of your Divine Son to trust in you and to rely on you for all things. Often we are filled with fear. We are afraid to lose our security, our place in life, our health, our reputation, what we style as our importance. We are afraid to live and more afraid to die. Give us your Holy Spirit that we may find our peace in you. Strengthen us in hours of need. Most of all, may your Holy Spirit teach us to see what is truly important and to surrender that which is really unimportant and perhaps an obstacle on our road to you. May our Lord Jesus Christ, the poor carpenter of Nazareth, the homeless preacher of the roads, the man condemned to death and deprived of all the earthly things, including this life, be our model. May we not wish to be more secure than he was. And when things are taken from us and our security fails, may his example and life be a guiding light to us through the short journey of this life. Heavenly Father, you alone have riches to give that time cannot carry away. You alone can give us that Kingdom which does not perish. We pray, O Lord, that through the example of your Son and the grace of your Holy Spirit, we and all of those dear to us may have a true security based on the acceptance of your Divine Will. May we have eyes to see beyond this world and hearts to cherish that which does not pass away, but which lasts forever. Amen.

Prayer Written by St. John Paul II Titled ‘Totus Tuus’:
Immaculate Conception, Mary my Mother, live in me, act in me, speak in me and through me. Think your thoughts in my mind, love through my heart, give me your dispositions and feelings. Teach, lead me and guide me to Jesus. Correct, enlighten and expand my thoughts and behavior. Possess my soul. Take over my entire personality and life, replace it with yourself. Incline me to constant adoration. Pray in me and through me. Let me live in you and keep me in this union always. Amen.

Prayer for Healing:
Beloved Jesus, please be with me in my brokenness and my fears. I surrender to you all of my hurts and anxieties. I invite you into my wounds and into my memories. Shine your holy light and healing love around me, that I may have the courage and wisdom to know and accept your will. Give me the grace to become the woman you are calling me to be, that I may fulfill the plans you have for my life. Help me to discover my value in your eyes, and give me the strength to avoid seeking to find my worth in anyone other than you. Be with me in my daily struggles that I may feel whole again. Jesus, Mary and Joseph, pray for me. Amen.

My Prayer to Jesus Written While in Calcutta India at Mother Teresa's Tomb:
Lord, I give you the mess I so often make. I give you the weight I place upon my own shoulders by trying to control and manage life's outcomes. I give you the anxiety that often distracts me from fixating on you alone. I give you my fragile will that so often prefers the easy way instead of Your way. I give you the suffering I often create by trying to flee or escape the natural pains of life. I give you the hurt in my heart that I can't heal on my own. I give you the insecurities and fears that so often cripple me. I give you my difficult memories that frequently taunt me. I give you my past failures that so often try to convince me that I am not worthy of Your love. I give you my future that so often tries to overwhelm me with daunting obstacles. I give you my present to be loved and loved ever deeply by you, because you know that Your love and only Your love is what my soul thirsts for. Amen.
Surrender Prayer:
God, my Father, I thank you for all that you are, and all that you do for me through your son Jesus Christ. I praise you for my life, for your mercy and for your Eucharist. In Jesus’ name, Father, I place myself entirely in your Heart. I surrender to you my whole self, my heart, my mind, my memory, my imagination, my will, my emotions, my passions, my desires, my body, my sexuality, my desire for human approval, my weaknesses, my sins. I surrender every person in my life to you. I surrender every situation in my life to you. I surrender every relationship I am in to you. I surrender every concern I have to you. I surrender every fear I have to you. I surrender every doubt I have to you. I surrender all confusion I have to you. I surrender all sadness I am experiencing in my heart to you. I surrender all my wounds to you. I surrender all anxiety and worry I have to you. I surrender all that deceives me in my heart to you. I trust you to care for me and others in a perfectly loving way. As I have emptied myself, and surrendered everything to you, I ask you now, Father, to fill me with your Holy Spirit and all the gifts and fruits of your Spirit. Holy Spirit you are the source of love, hope, joy, peace, patience, goodness, gentleness, tenderness, faithfulness, humility, and self-control. Purify my desires. Help me to open my heart to you. Help me to become perfectly receptive as a pure child. Help me to believe in your love for me. Help me to hope in your love. Help me to receive from the Most Sacred Heart of Jesus all grace and virtues necessary for me to become the person you created me to be. I ask this in the Name of Jesus Christ, Your son, God Almighty Father. O Most Holy Immaculate Virgin Mary. I entrust this prayer to your Heart, and ask you to press it to your sorrowful and immaculate heart and intercede for me to your Son Jesus. Please help me to be as you are, a loving disciple, an obedient servant, a true child of God. Amen.

Prayer of Gratitude for Healing:
Thank you Jesus for the peace you bring our hearts in times of great restlessness. Thank you for helping us move through the painful parts of our past with courage and trust. Thank you for seeing us, speaking to us, and loving us where we are, even when it feels like it’s a thousand miles away from where we want to be sometimes. You know what parts of us have felt rejected, what wounds seem to not heal as quickly as we would like. You touch these places, bringing Your mercy, hope and compassion to us. We praise You for Your gentleness and Your patience when we want to turn away from Your healing. You know that this comes from our fear of being hurt or our doubt that we could ever truly be healed. We believe you can heal us Jesus. We trust that You want to heal us. And we surrender our hearts to be healed, in Your time, in Your way, for however long it takes and whatever it may cost us. You are faithful Lord and we look forward in hope, awaiting all the good You will bring to our lives. Amen.

Serenity Prayer:
God, grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, the courage to change the things I can, and the wisdom to know the difference. Living one day at a time, enjoying one moment at a time; accepting hardship as a pathway to peace; taking, as Jesus did, this sinful world as it is, not as I would have it; trusting that You will make all things right if I surrender to Your will; so that I may be reasonably happy in this life and supremely happy with You forever in the next. Amen.
